Frequently Asked Questions
Generally speaking, coaches have experience and expertise in specific areas of life, such as business, relationships, health, and personal development. They use various methods and strategies to help their coaching clients identify goals, release fears, disrupt limiting beliefs, remove roadblocks, and take actionable and result-oriented steps to achieving their goals. With that said, each coach is different based on their coaching philosophy, education, and training. Ultimately, coaches help people make positive changes in their lives.
Coaches are not therapists, although some coaches may have a background in counselling, cogntive-behavioural therapy, psychotherapy, or the like. Therapy tends to be regulated by a governing body such as a college, while coaching is not.
I refer to myself as a Holistic Life Coach.
While I use some traditional coaching methods, I go beyond simplistic goals and action plans. Holistic life coaching addresses the whole person to support their emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Regardless of what your personal or professional goals are, they cannot be attended to in a vacuum. In other words, every aspect of your inner and outer world needs to be considered when making transformative life changes. As a Holistic Life Coach, I cater the coaching process to you and your specific needs. This is a very organic experience where we work together in a partnership. It is important you feel comfortable and cared for at all stages of our time together and that you are in the driver’s seat of your own life. As a Holistic Life Coach, I use many tools and strategies such as creative activities, mindful strategies, and nature experiences to offer you new, uplifting and inspiring ways to support your journey towards deeper meaning and purpose.

Elite athletes have coaches to keep them in top condition and the best in their sport. Teachers have coaches to help them improve teaching subjects such as math. However, most people do not have someone to help them reach their full potential in any aspect of their lives. While you might have supportive friends or family members, coaches have an objective perspective, and a very specific set of skills, to support and encourage your journey. I like to think of coaching as an investment in you and your well-being so you can live a life you love. You are worth it. It would be my honour to work with you.
